Also known as Hiajoshi, this “even tuning” scale from Japan has no fixed tonic, so it fits into many keys and styles of play.

All Happy drums include mallets and a padded carrying case.

Tones from these instruments are created through the vibrating tongue of steel. When a tongue is quickly and lightly struck with the finger or mallet, it vibrates, creating sound waves.

Happy steel tongue drum boast long sustain and beautiful harmonies. They have a similar feel to handpans and other mystical instruments. They are made from heavy gauge steel.  Play using the rubber mallets provided, or try using your fingers for a totally different style! Each also comes in its own protective carry bag with adjustable strap.
